Liverpool Trip

Liverpool Trip

The AJR Outreach Department Annual Visit took place in Liverpool this year.  A group of 22 members from London, Birmingham, Hull, Manchester and Glasgow took part.  The staff from the Outreach Department led the Group throughout the 5 days, Susan Harrod, Wendy Bott, Agnes Isaacs, Kathryn Prevezer and Esther Rinkoff, ably assisted by Christine Brazier and Dave Moon from the Social Work Department.  The trip was a resounding success and future trips to other parts of the UK are in the pipeline. …read more

Sir Eric Pickles at the Kindertransport Lunch

The Kindertransport Organisation,  were delighted to welcome Sir Eric Pickles, Special Envoy for Post-Holocaust Issues, to their monthly lunch.  Sir Eric met with over 45 members and spoke about anti-Semitism in the UK and holocaust denial.  He also spoke about the new Holocaust Memorial and Education Centre due to be built in London.  Sir Eric took a variety of questions from both members and Year 6 Pupils from Akiva School who joined the meeting. …read more
