Jewish Volunteering Network Awards
AJR nominees were runners-up in two categories at the inaugural Jewish Volunteering Network (JVN) Awards event held at the London Jewish Cultural Centre on Wednesday June 9.
Klaus Neuberg was nominated in the Bircham Dyson Public Choice Award for Inspirational Volunteer and the AJR-Kindertransport planning committee was nominated in the Volunteer Team of the Year.
In both cases over 50 nominations were received from a wide variety of Jewish charities.
All AJR nominees were surprised and delighted that their volunteering activities were not only acknowledged and appreciated by AJR but by the JVN judging panel too.
The evening was very ably chaired by the news reader Martyn Lewis and attended by the AJR's Head of Volunteer Services, Carol Hart, and Joanna Millan, a member of the AJR Management Committee.
