AJR Holocaust Memorial Day - Communities Together: Build a Bridge
Sir Andrew Burns was the guest speaker at our Holocaust Memorial Day service on Thursday 24 January 2013 at the Belsize Square Synagogue. Sir Andrew spoke about his work as the first UK Envoy for Post-Holocaust Issues.
The service was led led by Rabbi Stuart Altshuler who began proceedings by inviting six AJR members to light candles in memory of their families and the six million Jews who perished. Guests also heard from the Akiva School Choir who beautifully performed two songs.
