The freephone number for claimants wishing to check the status of applications submitted to the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims has changed. National Fund payments

Recipients of the $7,000 award from the Austrian National Fund - made throughout 2002 and 2003 - in respect of lost tenancy rights, personal possessions and valuables will receive an additional payment of €1,000 (approximately £600). The heirs of survivors, who received the original monies but have since passed away, are eligible to receive the payment in their place.

Swiss bank claims deadline

Applications for dormant Swiss bank accounts must be submitted by 13 July 2005. In January an additional list of names of owners of Swiss bank accounts was published on two designated websites: and

Austrian life certificates

To the beginning of March, the AJR has notarised 94 Austrian pension life certificates. For future reference, a piece of official identification, such as a passport or driving licence, must be presented when asking an AJR representative to legalise a certificate.
