Annual General Meeting

Annual General Meeting

At this year’s Annual General Meeting, Chairman Andrew Kaufman reported that the AJR had, not surprisingly, been unable to escape the financial turbulence of recent months.

At the same time, he said, there were three factors in our favour: a possible increase in the value of legacies this year, an increase in grants made by the Claims Conference; and the ‘amazing professionalism’ of the AJR’s services.

Neil Taylor, Director of Care and Community Services at Jewish Care reported on the new Jewish Care campus, including the ‘extra care’ scheme, currently under construction in Golders Green Road. The building - comprising 45 flats, 37 of them available for private rent, the rest for affordable housing - was due to be completed in May next year, with people moving in from summer 2010.
