The AJR Outreach and Event Department  welcomed Mike Freer MP for Finchley and Golders Green together with Sir Bernard Zissman, Former Mayor of Birmingham, to a lunch and lively discussion on Brexit.  The benefits of voting In or Out were discussed at length and our members had many different views.   We thank Mike Freer and Sir Bernard Zissman for their time.[link]

The Kindertransport Organisation, part of The Association of Jewish Refugees, were delighted to welcome Dame Esther Rantzen DBE, to their monthly lunch where she spoke to 75 Kinder about the life of Sir Nicholas Winton, and the comparison between the current refugee crisis and their plight over 77 years ago. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) describes itself as an 'intergovernmental body whose purpose is to place political and social leaders' support behind the need for Holocaust education, remembrance and research both nationally and internationally. IHRA has taken a leading role in commemorative activity across the world since its founding in 1998.
